Attendant Services Workshop + Legal Clinic

ARCH and CILT will provide a workshop on persons with disabilities’ legal rights and self-advocacy strategies when receiving attendant services. ARCH also will cover applicable legislation, enforcement/ complaint options, and quality and quantity of attendant services. After the workshop, ARCH’s lawyers will be available to give 20 minute legal advice to persons with disabilities on attendant/PSW services issues. This is a free and confidential service. Reception: 10:30am-11:00am Workshop: 11:00am-1:00pm Legal Clinic: 1:00pm-4:00pm (20 minute sessions) Guest Speakers: Staff Lawyers, ARCH Disability Law Centre This FREE event is wheelchair accessible and promotes a scent-free environment. Attendant services and light refreshments provided. TTC Tokens, other accessibility accommodations and/or dietary needs will be made available upon reasonable advance request. ARCH is primarily funded by Legal Aid Ontario, as well as other funding sources.
