It’s the perfect time to learn about the reality of living with these complex, lifelong neurological conditions. No matter where in Canada you live, Covid-19 has changed the way we all live and how Hydrocephalus Canada offered support and raised funds to support our work. We are still here for people living with these conditions and we aren’t going anywhere.
Everyone of you can play an important role in spreading the word about HC and our programs and services and helping us raise much needed funds. There’s lots you can do!
Host a Spirit Wheel Walk Run
We are happy to tell you that our Spirit Wheel Walk Run (SWWR) events can still happen, just in a different way. Members like Troy and Annette Chandler in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario have found a way to help people celebrate Hydrocephalus Canada and increase awareness of hydrocephalus and spina bifida. As a matter of fact, they are celebrating 10 YEARS OF SWWRs and going ALL OUT for this year’s virtual event!
Hugs for Hydrocephalus & Smiles for Spina Bifida
“Hugs for Hydrocephalus & Smiles for Spina Bifida” is back this June. This is your chance to share your Hugs & Smiles pictures or videos and a few words telling your story or message to someone you care about!
Help everyone across the country feel connected. We can’t wait to post your pics and videos! Take a photo, video or a selfie hugging someone you are living with who is living with hydrocephalus and/or spina bifida (virtual hugs, air hugs and group hugs work too). IMPORTANT: Tell us who is in the picture and say a few words about them or send a message to someone.
Email that photo or video with “HUGS FOR H/SMILES FOR SB CANADA” in the subject line to [email protected] and please don’t forget to include a few words about the photo. Who are you hugging/smiling at? Who are you looking forward to hugging in person when we can?
We’ll feature your photo and dedication on our social media channels and website so that the special people you care about will feel the love. You will be entered to win a gift card. A random draw of all submissions will be held in July.
We just heard that Christine Iggulden is once again contributing a portion of her upcoming sales on a particular item to Hydrocephalus Canada! Way to go Christine!!
