Organize an Event in Your Community

Hosting your own fundraising or awareness event can be a unique and meaningful way to make a difference and benefit others. If you’re looking for a great way to support a cause dedicated to improving the quality of life of people living with hydrocephalus and/or spina bifida why not organize a third party event. This is an event organized by you, however big or small, where proceeds are donated to Hydrocephalus Canada (HC).

Fundraising is an important part of our activities that sustain programs, contributes to research and helps those who need us.

Here are some examples of successful third party events:

  • Bake Sales
  • Barbeques
  • Bingo Nights
  • Bowling Tournaments
  • Car Washes
  • Competitions (billiards, darts, scrabble, Texas Hold’em)
  • Dinner/Dances
  • Endurance Challenges (bike-a-thon, walk-a-thon, spin-a-thon)
  • Garage Sales
  • Golf Tournaments
  • Fashion Shows
  • School Fundraisers
  • Street Fairs & Carnival Days
  • Used Book Sales
  • Wine & Cheese Parties

Third Party Events Planning Guide

Another great way to make a difference is to include Hydrocephalus Canada in an event you are already planning. Instead of a gift encourage guests to bring a donation to Hydrocephalus Canada. Some celebrations you might consider doing this for include:

  • Birthdays
  • Graduations
  • Weddings
  • Anniversaries
  • Retirement Parties

Are you planning a community picnic or family reunion this summer? Consider asking everyone to bring a $10 donation.
